Announcing California Poppy Sanchez
Announcing California Poppy Sanchez

We are proud to announce that our daughter, California Poppy Sanchez has finally arrived! She has a full head of dark brown hair (thanks to her father), and steel blue eyes. Mommy, Daddy and baby are doing well after 3 days of labor at Kaiser, San Francisco. Juicy says it was the most challenging and rewarding thing she has ever done, and she credits the yoga for her strength, determination and unwavering commitment to an unmedicated, vaginal childbirth. As you may know, she maintained a regular Bikram Yoga practice throughout the pregnancy, and is excited to get back in the hot room with you on Saturday for a special donation class – read the next article for details!

When dreaming about our little girl’s future and choosing a name for her, we wanted to give her a moniker than would be unique, inspiring, and impossible to misspell. We decided to name her after the state that has been a dream for so many, including Juicy’s Dad, Tom McCloskey. He loved California and moved his family here in 1981 to give them all of the opportunities available in this beautiful state. We hope that you find California to be as enchanting as we do.

If you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of California around the studio doing her favorite yoga poses, such as cobra and full locust.

Peace & Love,

Steve23, Juicy, Poppy & Pepper Sanchez
