26 Postures
The ninety minute, twenty-six posture Bikram Yoga sequence is systematically and scientifically designed to stimulate each and every organ, gland, muscle and system of the human body, forming a comprehensive system of practical health-maintenance and disease prevention. The proper application of Bikram Yoga has been shown to consistently reverse the effects of aging, regulate metabolism, reduce the effects of stress and strain, and substantially aid in the alleviation of chronic symptoms for many practitioners. Each posture in the Bikram Method sequentially prepares the practitioner for the next, with the overall effect of the series relating directly to this scientifically-comprehensive and systematic approach.

Healing and Prevention
These postures were developed in India as a healing method, and are still used today at medical clinics throughout the country to heal a diverse array of conditions, from asthma to kyphosis to obesity.  When practiced regularly in sequence, they will heal and prevent all of these conditions, while building an overall balance of strength and flexibility in the body, creating great cardiovascular strength and respiratory function, and improving the functioning of the digestive system, immune system, and glandular system.

Mental and Physical Benefits
Practicing in a class environment with certified Bikram Yoga instructors, you will find the class has a profound effect not only on the functions of your body, but also on the functions of your mind.  This practice cultivates the five aspects of mind; dedication, self control, will power, concentration and patience making you healthier and happier and improving your relationships with others. Bikram originally used the mental and physical benefits of yoga to augment his body building practice which led him to be an internationally victorious weight lifter.  Whether your love is writing songs or riding bikes, running marathons or running companies, this practice will allow you to carry on with the things you love without injury or fatigue, and with increased success.
